Only apply for a job through GoWorkaBit if you are 100% sure you can do it.
If you are selected and still can’t go, someone else will miss out. On top of that, you’ll give your employer a headache trying to find a replacement quickly.
Read the job description carefully.
Make sure you meet all the requirements set out by the employer in the job description. For example, make sure you have a valid medical certificate, a driving licence or a specific skill you need to do the job.
After you apply, your employer will let you know if they have selected you for the job.
The employer makes his choice based on the information in the profiles and the assessments he has received in the past. As soon as the company has made its selection, you will be notified whether or not you have been selected.
Let me know if you can’t go to work!
However, if for some unexpected reason you are not able to go to work, make sure you let us know by cancelling your application (click “Cancel” for the specific job offer). This will give the employer some chance to select someone else to replace you. If the employer hasn’t selected you for the job yet, nothing bad will happen in the long run.
Are you confirmed for work but can’t make it?
First of all: be sure to let us know! Remember that if you are selected for a job by your employer and you still have to cancel, it will be marked on your profile. In addition, you will not be able to apply for a new job for 24 hours. The more confirmed job offers you cancel, the longer the ban will be. Every time you apply for a job, employers will see that you have jumped ship for some reason after you were previously approved. So try to avoid this if you want to keep your chances of getting the job as high as possible.
You don’t turn up for work and you haven’t told your employer?
Unless it’s an accident or some other unexpected event, this is the worst thing you could ever do. Firstly, someone else misses out on the chance to go to work, the employer misses out on the job and you cause resentment and headaches for all concerned. This kind of behaviour will get you a “no-show” on your profile and your account closed unless you have a good reason for not showing up.
